Nicky has been qualified in Dog Grooming since 2009 and also qualified in dog training and behaviour since 2007.

Having completed her degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training at Bishop Burton College, Nicky really understands dogs and has fantastic patience which allows her to give the highest quality cut, every time. She enjoys grooming and training dogs and this really shows in her work.

What are the Dog Grooming opening times?

Our Dog Groomer Nicky works by appointment and usually works between 9:30am to early afternoon.

If you are popping in to discuss grooming, we would suggest coming between these times. You can call the shop to check that Nicky is there prior to a visit.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, it is recommended that you make an appointment for anything other than nail clipping.

Please note:

Unfortunately, staff working for Town Gardens and City Pets are unable to make bookings on your behalf as they do not have access to the booking calendar. Four Paws Dog Grooming is a separate entity to Town Gardens and City Pets and is managed separately.

What is included in a full groom?

When your dog gets a groom at four paws they are given the full VIP treatment this includes:

  • 121 service so all attention is on your dog.
  • a double shampoo
  • anal glands (if needed)
  • blow dry with a dryer not a box dryer so that your dog gets all the comfort from the groomer.
  • nails cut
  • ears cleaned
  • full body health check to make sure there is nothing hiding under the fur
  • all over body cut to a look you require (if possible only time not possible is if a dog is matted)
  • spray with cologne to finish
Is there a price list?

The prices depend on the breed of the dog, the coat and what is required. It is best if you contact for a quote.

Can the nails of other animals be clipped?

As well as dog nails, Nicky can cut nails of cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and reptiles. Prices starting from £5.
