King British White Spot Control is an effective veterinary strength medicine to treat external parasites on ornamental fish. King British White Spot Control is an easy-to-use liquid containing malachite green 0.1% w/w, acriflavine and quinine sulphate. It is effective against white spot (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis).
White spot (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis), which is also known as Ich or Ichthyopthirius, is a persistent protozoan parasite that exhibits itself as pinhead-sized white spots on your fish’s scales. White spot is one of the most common parasitic problems affecting fish and can be fatal if left untreated.
Captive fish live in a completely closed environment and are entirely dependent on their surrounding water. White spot is more likely to occur in aquariums with poor water quality, in fish that are stressed and those recovering from illness.
When to use King British White Spot Control:
• If white spots appear on your fish’s fins, body or gills
• Your fish is flicking or rubbing against objects in the aquarium
• Your fish is darting around the tank or appears stressed and agitated
Suitable for coldwater and tropical aquariums.
